I’m in Need of a Kidney Transplant
/This isn’t the kind of news I ever imagined I’d be sharing publicly, but here I am. Recently, my doctor told me that my kidney function has been steadily declining, and I will need to be placed on the transplant list. Hearing those words hit me hard—it honestly felt like a death sentence at first but here’s the truth: I’m not at death’s door. I’m still here, living, breathing, working, laughing, and moving through the world like a regular, functioning human being. So if you see me out and about, don’t be surprised if I look “fine.” On the outside, I may seem completely normal, but on the inside, my body is fighting a quiet battle.
I’ve always been a private person, and sharing something this personal doesn’t come easily to me, but when your health depends on finding a living donor, privacy can no longer come first. Being open, even vulnerable, is part of what could save my life.
If you’re reading this, I ask for your understanding, your prayers, and your willingness to help spread the word. Living kidney donation is possible, and for many people—including me—it is life-changing. The right donor match could give me not just more time, but more quality of life.
Your support—whether through action, sharing, or encouragement—means more than I can express.
Thank you, Kenny
